MEET COWBOYS HELPING KIDS COWBOYS:
The Cowboys of Tombstone, Arizona, located in Cochise County, were a loose fitted group of Ranchers and Cowboys who did not actually wear Red Sashes, to show their membership in The Cowboys, as depicted in the movie "Tombstone."
Cowboys Helping Kids on the other hand have adopted this unique symbol to show the World that we are all united under a single cause; “
Cowboys Helping Kids.”
Russell Anderson, our Trail-Boss, is the face and voice of
Cowboys Helping Kids. He is an Active duty Soldier (Who earned a Bronze Star in Afghanistan.), Leader of the
Desert Cowboys, 2010 Cowboy Keeper Award recipient, has
Volunteered to take the lead on our Cross Country ‘Trail of Life’ ride.
Brandon Hawkins an Active Duty Soldier, a Cancer Patient, a member of the
Desert Cowboys, volunteered to ride in this historic event, while deployed to Afghanistan. Now back he vows to make a difference with his and others lives, thru this historic ride.
Dustin Hash an Active Duty Soldier, a member of the
Desert Cowboys, currently stationed at Fort Carson, CO will be joining Cowboys Helping Kids on this historic ride.
